Be a professional jewellery photographer
Shooting fashion models is still quite easy as compared to jewelleries. Jewellery is such a prop where every shines and designs of it should be prominent in the photo. If you plan to shoot jewelleries make sure you are able to highlight its beauty more skilfully. You need to know the technique to capture the real magnificence of the design during the photographing session.
Few guidelines are there that can help you in doing such work so successfully. Some of the guidelines are as follows:-
- At first you need to clean the jewellery set properly. Wipe out the dust from the surface with a soft cloth. Make sure you clean it thoroughly.
- Make sure your camera is fully prepared. That means the batteries should be charged and the lenses should be cleaned and adjusted. Avoid using the automatic adjustable mode. Instead use the manual one to focus on the spot properly. Usually digital cameras cover wider areas. So its best to place the camera into spot focus mode. This will allow the lens to focus only on the jewellery.
- Prepare a flat surface to place the jewellery carefully. Before placing the jewellery cover the area with black cloth. Arrange lights around the area to lighten the place. Dark cloth will make the jewelleries dazzling in the photograph. You can use light tent to provide soft lighting affect on the set.
- Make sure you place the camera a few inches away from the spot to get the focus properly. With this also check the shutter button halfway.
- Remove the extra objects lying beside the main characters. Similarly if any extra prop is required to be placed, do it. Do check the prop doesn’t overshadow the main object.
- Take few photographs initially to check how the snaps are coming. Make the necessary changes if required. After this, take the final shot.
