Shopping around for local things to do made easier
So the other day I was out in the city market just looking around and before I knew it over 2 hours had gone by and I hadn’t even gotten anything. But then I thought that I wasn’t even really sure what I was looking for. You know how you go out and think that you have to go shopping but you don’t even know what to get? Kind of like you’re just going shopping, to go shopping. I have even noticed just looking for an activity in my hometown is annoying and tiresome. Why can’t I just find something I like to do quickly without having to spend a few hours searching around? By the time I my friends and I think of something to do, like going to a movie or to the mall, we’re already tired and lazy.
Maybe that’s the problem with today’s youth; we’re all lazy and find excuses for everything. I think what annoys me the most is people who say “oh you’ve got nothing to do? How come, you have to always be doing something?” First off, if I have free time I don’t need to be doing anything and can just enjoy it. Secondly, it is my free time so let me do with it what I want! Ok that’s my little rant and it felt good to get off my chest.
The other day though I have to say that my friend told me about this good concept to help us find local things to do easier. It’s called Groupon and what they do is they offer deals in London and select cities, which include most around the UK. And what they do is offer you activities and events going on in your city or the cities nearby. So basically one day they might be offering anything from a movie deal, to a ticket to an attraction or discounts for shopping.
I haven’t bought any Groupon deals yet myself, but what I like most about it is that they will help give my friends and I ideas about what activities to do. And not only will it give us ideas of things to do, but if we purchase a Groupon we can save up to 70% with that coupon. So now thanks to Groupon I can keep being lazy and save money at the same time!
